Jennifer started her writing career as a freelance journalist, covering over 100 news and human interest stories for dozens of publications.  

She later moved to Los Angeles to scribe film, television, and novels. 

Her feature film, God Bless the Broken Road, is slated for release 2018. In 2017, her novelization of the film was published by Simon & Schuster. Her crime novel series, The Coroner's Daughter, is being published by Crooked Lane Books in 2018.  Her children’s book, The Picadilly Children’s Ballet, has reached thousands of children from California to Florida with the lesson of how to have joy in one’s life!

Jennifer has several crime drama series being developed for television and is adapting the YA novel series, Christy Miller for film and TV. 

Wanting to share her love of forensics with other storytellers, she also penned a non-fiction work, Forensic Speak: How To Write Realistic Crime Dramas, published by Michael Wiese Productions, hailed as a north star to creating authentic crime dramas. 

As a forensic specialist she has consulted with TV writers on network and cable TV shows.  She regularly leads seminars and webinars on forensics and crime fiction and has taught screenwriting on the high school and university level and mentored new writers. 

Jennifer has scribed projects for 10 West Studios, 60/40 Productions, Anderson Media Group, Circle of Confusion, Echo Lake, and Hoplite Entertainment. Jennifer’s scripts have placed her on the short lists of the Fox/Blacklist TV Program, Final Draft Big Break, Nichols, Austin, American Zoetrope, and NBC’s Writers on the Verge. Her half-hour forensic comedy, Home Bodies, received a Humanitas’ New Voices Award. Her children's show, Team Abuelita, won first place with Baby First and the National Hispanic Media Council.
